You can say a lot of things about me, but I’m not afraid to try something new! Well, first there’s my new blog design, but that’s not what I meant.
The really new (to me) thing is Kindle Scout. The other somewhat new thing is writing YA fiction. I combined both and submitted my YA manuscript to Kindle Scout.
Kindle Scout is reader-powered publishing for new, never-before-published books. Itβs a place where readers help decide if a book gets published. Selected books will be published by Kindle Press.
Having your work out there like that is an odd experience to say the least, a mix between scary and exciting. I’ve found many pros and cons for Kindle Scout online, but in the end I was intrigued by the fast-turnaround time of a book campaign and the potential exposure to new readers.
However my book will fare on Kindle Scout, it will be released soon, either with Kindle Press or I’ll release it into the wild myself. It’s a win/win for me either way. And hopefully for readers too π
I’ll of course continue to write middle grade. The Skycastle series will have two more books before the series concludes. And I’ll also continue to work on my young adult manuscripts, which I’m very excited about.
Someone wish me luck… π
The best of luck to you Andy in everything that you do!
Oh, thank you, Leila!
Good luck! I’m sure it’s awesome!
Thank you, Sherrill!
Witches and wolves, sounds like a winner to me. Andy, make it easier for readers of your blog to find the link to your page on Amazon Scout. I had to really look for it. Good luck!
Good point. Even on my own blog, it’s difficult for me to be all ‘look at me!’ apparently π thank you, Dayne!
I tried to vote for you on Kindle Scout but wasn’t able to because I’m in Singapore, where the service isn’t available. π But I wish you the best of luck and can’t wait to read it! xx
Thank you π yes, I forgot to mention it’s US only, not even Canada can play.
